Doctor Exposes The Root Cause Of Cysts And How To Address Them Naturally

“I was prescribing all these drugs that weren’t really helping people. They were treating the symptoms of their illness and I was having to use more drugs to treat the problems from the drugs. Most importantly, these patients with these chronic illnesses were having a downward spiral in their health,” said Dr. David Brownstein, MD and author of 20 books including Overcoming Thyroid Disorders, a clinically trained physician who now thinks holistically not pharmaceutically.

After reading Dr. Wright’s Guide To Healing With Nutrition, by Johnathon Wright, MD, when medical assistance wasn’t helping his ailing father he began researching different possibilities in care. He began studying the root cause of disease formation which included cysts. His findings were shockingly simply. The root cause was sourced at our “food” supply yet the solution was easy.

Dr. Brownstein says the major cause of illness today is hidden thyroid problems. The precursor to this which starts the downward spiral is iodine deficiency. He says, “50-60% of people are walking around with an undiagnosed thyroid disorder.” One of the biggest struggles the patient has to deal with is false negative thyroid test results, click here to read more.

He says the biggest complaint of people with thyroid issues is fatigue. He says, “They’re tired. They’re waking up tired, they’re going to bed tired. It doesn’t matter if they sleep well at night, or if they don’t sleep well at night, they’re just tired. Their brains aren’t thinking properly. The relationship between low thyroid and heart disease was written over 20 years ago.”

Other symptoms of thyroid issues are loss of sexual function, muscle pain, cold intolerance, brain fog and depression. Click here to read more.

Dr. Brownstein says fixing the issue comes in one foundational form, supplying nutritional deficiencies, which includes iodine. He says, “Giving the human body the appropriate nutrients that it needs, the human body can do wonderful things. We were designed to be healthy our whole entire lives, to have enough energy, we weren’t designed for 50% of us to have thyroid problems.” This is the foundation.

Nutritional deficiencies can not be determined by looking at a person’s size. Obese and morbidly obese individuals are often the most nutritionally deprived individuals.

Dr. Brownstein says, “What’s causing this? I think it’s a combination of things. We are suffering from a host of nutritional deficiencies. Including B vitamins, magnesium, vitamin D but the biggest deficiency I see is iodine deficiency.”

ganglion cystDr. Brownstein says in his book Iodine: Why We Need It, Why We Can’t Live Without It, “Iodine is the most misunderstood nutrient. I can say that it is impossible to achieve your optimal health if you do not have adequate iodine levels. I have yet to see any item that is more important to promoting health or optimizing the function of the immune system than iodine.”

Sea vegetables like seaweed and sea animals like fish are the most prevalent natural forms of getting iodine. “Over the last 40-50 years iodine levels have fallen over 50%. During that time we’ve seen an epidemic increase in thyroid disorders as well as glandular problems: breast cancer, uterine, ovarian,” Dr. Brownstein says. Irradiation and the addition of GMOs to seaweed is not helping. Click here for a clean brand, here for a clean chipotle flavored brand.

“I say  we are suffering from a myriad of health problems that’s got an easy solution that conventional medicine does not understand.” He goes on to say, “Even in the holistic circles many of them are hostile to using iodine therapeutically.”

Dr. Brownstein says, “When people have a reaction to radioactive iodine in a medical test they assume they’re iodine deficient. That’s just not true. Less than 1% of the people who have allergies to radioactive iodine have problems with taking inorganic non-radioactive iodine.”

He says the source of illness in glandular tissue is iodine. “Iodine’s main job in the glandular tissue is to maintain the normal architecture of the glandular tissue. That includes the thyroid, the ovaries, the uterus, the breast and the prostate. So if you have enough iodine its job is to make sure the tissues have the normal cells and the normal shape of those cells. If there’s not enough iodine they can become cystic.”

Dr. Brownstein says a lack of iodine is the first step towards cysts and eventually cancer.

“It’s pretty much hard to take too much iodine,” Dr. Brownstein says. This is because the kidneys excrete over 90% of iodine flushing out any overages.

The real cause and source Dr. Brownstein says is, “Bromine and fluoride have gone up at the same time iodine levels have gone down.” They are non-essential to our body but they push out iodine. Bromine is in soda, pasta, vegetable oils, flour and is used as a fire retardant in mattresses and baby products as well as cell phones and other daily used products.

I have a ganglion cyst on my right wrist. I’ve had it for about 4 years now, I think. It affects my mobility in my right hand, and does get painful from time to time. I go into more detail in my blog, http://soluble-fiber.com/2015/07/30/wrist-problems-a-ganglion-cyst/ … but a doctor is going to take a look at it, and hopefully get it fixed!
