This recipe is a courtesy of a guest, Joshua Cook, someone who has seen massive healing through the GAPS Protocol.
Joshua started GAPS in April 2018 to recover from acute colitis brought on by a C. diff infection. He is a pro level Pickleball athlete who had already put in his notice to the Pickleball folks that he would be unable to play for a year or more while he recovered. Instead, thanks to GAPS, he was playing in a matter of weeks. He is still on the diet and doing very well. He is healthy and rebuilding lost gut flora wiped out by antibiotics. He makes many homemade probiotic foods as well as several wonderful original recipes.

GAPS Breakfast smoothie:

1 avocado (makes smoothie super creamy)
1 banana
1/4 cup unrefined virgin coconut oil
1/8 cup organic natural peanut butter
2 scoops organic collagen protein powder (optional)
1/2 cup homemade yogurt
1/2 cup homemade kefir
coconut milk (just enough to thin out thick smoothie)
L-glutamine powder (optional)
1/8 cup honey
1/8 cup organic dark cocoa powder (optional)

You will need a medium to large size kitchen top blender as this recipe makes two servings. But i drink it all because of all the beneficial fat and fiber. This is also a great base to add any other fruit too. My favorites are blueberries and peaches.
