Harvard Study Exposes Air Pollution as Number One Factor in COVID Deaths
Harvard School of Health reported a study saying, “People with COVID-19 who live in U.S. regions with high levels of air pollution are more likely to die from the disease than people who live in less polluted areas, according to a new nationwide study from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.”
The study is the first of its kind. They looked at long-term exposure effects of fine particulate air pollution. The size of particulate studied was generally sourced from car exhaust, refineries, and power plant output.
They analyzed over 3,000 counties, comparing air pollution with coronavirus deaths. Many factors were adjusted, including population size, the number of hospital beds, the people who tested positive for coronavirus, the weather, financial situations, and health issues such as obesity, and smoking.
“When Harvard analyzed death from Covid, what they found out is it’s actually air pollution that predicts better than any other thing in your environment. Better than the presence of the virus, your prediction of death is how many micro-grams of air pollution is in your air that you’re breathing. That’s what you’re going to die from, and it’s so powerful,” says medical doctor Zach Bush.
Bush studies areas with the latest and heaviest contamination of Roundup spray. Roundup is the dangerous pesticide that has been proven to cause cancer in many court cases, with over $2 billion dollars of settlements for the cause of disease. A year prior to the coronavirus outbreak, after studying spray, Bush predicted the Hubei area of China was going to have some sort of disease outbreak. Sure enough, this is where the coronavirus originated.
He said, “It’s going to come from right here because this is where we’re putting the most pressure on biology. When a scientist said yesterday, these labs are doing this eight million times faster than nature, nature has had very little reason to do any genomic shift over the last few thousand years, until we’ve scaled industrial agriculture to the level we have. With 4.5 billion pounds of antibiotic spilled into our soils every year, we’re putting extraordinary pressure on the microbiome.”

Bush thinks the problem is so bad that it’s changing our human function saying, “I believe the microbiome is accelerating its genomic material that we call viruses. It needs to adapt faster now than any time in the last 50 million years.”
When we have a weaker system, due to the high level of toxins in our environment, these studies are showing we are more susceptible to illness, including COVID.
Harvard reported, “Many of the pre-existing conditions that increase the risk of death in those with COVID-19 are the same diseases that are affected by long-term exposure to air pollution.” They investigated long-term exposure to fine particulate matter in the air at a level of PM2.5 and found an association with increased disease, as well as increased COVID-19 deaths.
They found, “An increase of only 1 μg/m3 in PM2.5 is associated with an 8% increase in the COVID-19 death rate. The results were statistically significant and robust to secondary and sensitivity analyses.”
They concluded, “A small increase in long-term exposure to PM2.5 leads to a large increase in the COVID-19 death rate.”

Dr. Bush says this causes it to come from within our bodies, “Fifty percent of our human genome is viruses, we were made by viruses. Ten percent of our genome is from retroviruses, like HIV. We were built by the machinery of the virome. We’re scratching the surface of what genomic modification looks like. Nature does it at a speed, and without a capitalistic determination behind it. When you add a money-making scheme to genetic modification, now you’ve changed nature again. Nature’s whole goal is biodiversity and sustaining life.”
This information is extremely valuable in relation to other diseases. Rutgers University reported, “New Jersey preschoolers have the highest rates of autism ever measured in the United States, a rate that has increased faster than in other states studied. The rate of autism among children here has tripled in a generation.”
New Jersey has also had some of highest numbers of coronavirus. It has been reported, “New York and New Jersey are seeing coronavirus attack rates at least five times higher than other parts of the country. Roughly 28% of the specimens submitted in that region have tested positive for COVID-19, while less than 8% have tested positive for the disease in the rest of the country.”
NorthJersey.com reports, “New Jersey’s air continues to be among the most polluted in the nation, with a large swath of the state receiving failing grades for smog, according to a report by the American Lung Association released Wednesday.”
They go on to say, “North Jersey and New York City ranked as the 10th worst metropolitan area in the U.S. for ozone levels, the main ingredient in smog that can trigger asthma attacks in the estimated 735,000 state residents who suffer from the disease.”
Bush says, “The virus is not enough to cause the perfect death. We have to have the perfect storm of air pollution.”
