Marshmallow Bunnies
One thing I do miss is Peeps – but not anymore! These homemade marshmallow bunnies use three ingredients and look and taste like store bought!!!!

First, make the marshmallow fluff recipe: click here for the recipe.
Immediately when the fluff is done, scoop it into a zip top bag.
Snip the end off the bag with scissors, a small snip gives you smaller bunnies a larger one, larger bunnies.
On a non-stick sheet or parchment start with one ear.
Then add a second ear.
Then draw a circle for the face.
Once you have filled the whole sheet up with bunny heads let them dry a bit. Then put a few drips of water in a cup with a small amount of activated charcoal. Mix together. Cut off the cotton tip of a Q-tip and dip it into the charcoal blend and dab on eyes and a nose to the bunny.
These make great Peeps, bunny heads and hearts. Perfect for a healthy Easter snack. This recipe makes 133 bunny heads.
These bunny heads hold well but do not stack well because of the sticky marshmallow factor. If you need to stack them sprinkle them with cinnamon (if you do not have deep microbiome damage, you can sprinkle them with powdered sugar, arrowroot powder or cocoa powder). We have tried these in the dehydrator to make a cookie and it’s a different variety, more like shelf stable taffy. Freezing them makes them like taffy also.
They are always a crowd favorite and are quick to make. In addition you can show up at an event with a whole tray-full for pennies, they present well and all the kids love them!
We have made these with heating the honey to just before boiling point as well as just heating the honey with water to retain more enzymes. Both work well.
*Nourishing Plot is written by a mom whose son has been delivered from the effects of autism (Asperger’s syndrome), ADHD, bipolar disorder/manic depression, hypoglycemia and dyslexia through food. This is not a news article published by a paper trying to make money. This blog is put out by a mom who sees first hand the effects of nourishing food vs food-ish items. No company pays her for writing these blogs, she considers this a form of missionary work. It is her desire to scream it from the rooftops so that others don’t suffer from the damaging effect of today’s “food”.
