Natural Protocol When Your Child Is Sick

One medical doctor is walking upstream among his peers with his belief, “Children need to be allowed to experience symptoms of acute illness in order for their bodies to appropriately cleanse the wastes and toxins from their systems so they can go forward in their lives toward greater optimal health and wellness.”
Larry Palevsky, MD, believes this wholeheartedly to the point that he writes, on average, on prescription for antibiotics each year in his clinic.

Palevsky is a board certified pediatrician who believes supporting the body holistically is the best choice to raising a healthy child. His position on writing antibiotics is only superseded by his faith, or lack thereof, in vaccinations.
Paleysky says a fever is the body’s way of dealing with elevated stress within the body. He adds bacteria and viruses are one way the body works to push out accumulated stress. This accumulated stress can be sourced from overgrowth of pathogenic bacteria and viruses introduced in many ways.
Bacteria protect the inner linings of the body and escort out waste within the body. He says bacteria enhance the removal of waste across the mucus membranes.
He gives parents tips on his website telling them what to look for in terms of bringing a child into the doctor’s office for potential antibiotics.
He says he rarely sees the need for clinical intervention outside of rest, quiet time and mama’s love. He says clinical intervention usually involves a case of pneumonia.

Dr. Palevsky believes vaccinations alter our good flora in the microbiome. He believes this alteration potentially leads to obesity, autism, allergies and other chronic illnesses. He adds the use of antibiotics amplifies these conditions. He questions the use of vaccinations and their effect on the body.
His patients question vaccinations frequently. He says change is happening and is shown through prevnar 7 which has become prevnar 13 because of the serum type shift as well as other streptococcus strains. The same is happening with pertussis. Palevsky says it’s mutating because of the vaccination. He goes on to says vaccinations may be mutating viruses and other bacteria.
Palevsky says the research is surfacing but it is not discussed among his medical peers.
Palevsky says the most important thing to do is build up the body with nourishing real foods. He says preservatives, pesticides, food dyes, and the like weaken the immune system instead of feeding the body to become strong.
When a child is ill he recommends supporting the body with vitamin A and D as well as vitamin C. These foods are best sourced from food sources such as pastured chicken yolks in nourishing soups as well as cod liver oil and fermented cod liver oil. Vitamin C should be used with products without fillers and ingredients which feed pathogens, like this one.
One of the most beneficial things parents report as healing remedies are kraut juice, the fermented liquid from other vegetable ferments, hot herbal teas and meat stock soups. Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride recommends loading up the stocks with onions, cooked until clear and then adding as many yolks as are tolerated without die off to each bowl of soup.
Some parents lean on elderberry. Many reports show elderberry is very strong as a healing remedy that stops the mutation of viruses. Clinically, however, many practitioners report their clients develop illnesses while on elderberry as a prevention. Clinical reports of positive relief from kraut juice far outweighs the positive reports of elderberry.

Would you recommend kraut juice for boosting immune system, and just avoid elderberry as a regular thing? We do both, but if the elderberry isn’t necessary…
I see many clients who are on prohilactic elderberry and get sick, take kraut juice and get better. We take kraut juice. I have elderberry, but haven’t touched it in about three years. Kraut juice just works.
