Regulating Cortisol Levels For Regular Sleep

Every person has a microbiome, a balance of good bacteria and bad bacteria in your gut that regulates the proper function of your body. When the good bacteria is compromised the bad bacteria can grow prolifically, unchecked. This creates all sorts of problems for many people.
If you were to open up your intestinal tract and lay it out flat it would cover the area of a tennis court. That’s a lot of square footage tucked and folded deep within our bodies. The tennis court is covered with villi, finger-like protrusions that contain enterocytes, little fellas that absorb our nutrition through digestive enzymes living on the hairs on their heads. These villi are packed together tightly and resemble a shag carpet.

On top of this shag carpet covering the tennis court is a two-inch-layer of mucus. This mucus layer makes our B vitamins, our cortisol and many other vitamins for our body including ALA, alpha lipoic acid, an antioxidant with a negative charge that attracts metals and escorts them from the body.
When the microbiome is compromised, the 2-inch-layer of mucus is compromised.
For some people this greatly effects cortisol levels. This means some people gain weight and can not drop the pounds. For others it means they feel a constant level of high stress. For others it means they can’t sleep and they can’t stay asleep. This exasperates illness as the body can not rest properly and healing is pushed deeper into the future that never seams to exist.
Resetting these levels is a strategic dance of trial and error. Some people see success from supplementing 5-HTP, griffonia seed extract, and melatonin while other needs more drastic measures. As with many supplements be sure to find ones that do not have added ingredients which feed the pathogens in the gut, like this one, which contains rice flour, a starch which feeds pathogens or this one which contains three different types of fake sugars which all feed pathogens. Finding a clean melatonin with no added ingredients which feed pathogens is a very hard task. This one is clean.
Resetting your internal body clock, your circadium rhythm, assists some people. This can be done by taking a walk first thing in the morning, outside, as the sun is rising. Then again doing the same as the sun is setting. Simply being outside in the morning hours and evening hours is enough for some people to set their sleep schedule back on track. Others need to do manual labor outside for many hours to get the same effect.
EFT, emotional freedom technique, helps many people as it releases the tryptophan and cortisol in your body. Click here to read more.
Regulating cortisol levels can be done with cortisol regulating cream, which applied topically, can give a person the sleep they desire. Some people report this cream assists in falling to sleep as well as staying asleep. Some need to reapply the cream if they wake at night while others can sleep through with no issues.
All attempts are getting the body back into regular rhythm with sleep cycles will have more effect if no processed foods, chemicals and additives are eaten. For best results eating only nutrient dense foods is best.
