Study Shows Cell Phone Usage Activates Release Of Toxic Mercury From Fillings

Mercury fillings are known to release toxic gasses when encountering hot or cold drinks and food. Further research shows toxicity is increased through the microwave radiations used with mobile phones and other devices. Two different phases of testing were executed, both showing the same results.
Pakistan’s Journal Of Biological Sciences reported a study that may change the way you live your day saying, “Mercury Release From Dental Amalgam Restorations After Magnetic Resonance Imaging And Following Mobile Phone Use.”
In the first phase of the study 30 patients were exposed to magnetic fields, then tested.
In the second phase of the study 14 healthy female university students who had no previous amalgam fillings and no previous mobile phone use, but had more than four decayed teeth were given mercury fillings to seal the cavities and mobile phones. They were subsequently tested.

Mobile phones have been previously under the microscope for potential brain impairment, including cancer. Concerns from amalgam filling toxicity is the latest discovery that has been brewing for years.

The study reported, “Amalgam fillings release mercury at a low level ranging 2.5 micrograms/day in an adult.”
The findings stated high levels of mercury were previously found in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients. The concern being, “Researchers have indicated that even low levels of mercury are able to cause nerve cell changes, which are typical for Alzheimer’s disease.”
Previous research in 1988 found undersea welders with amalgam fillings experienced symptoms that showed the release of mercury from amalgam fillings while welding underwater due to the magnetic fields.
Undersea Biomed Research reported, “Divers have for some years been complaining about a metallic taste in the mouth while electrically welding and cutting underwater. This magnetic field was shown to contain an AC component that is a candidate for inducing secondary currents in the oral tissues and restorative materials. Only a slight shielding effect to magnetic fields was observed due to a copper-brass helmet.”
Further research showed, “Potentiostatic analyses were performed on amalgam samples exposed to AC and DC magnetic fields. Morphologic changes were analyzed using differential interference light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Chemical changes on the surface of the amalgam samples were analyzed with secondary ion mass spectrometry. Results demonstrated that dental amalgams exposed to a specific AC magnetic field underwent morphologic and chemical changes in the superficial amalgam layers.”

These fields are showing similar findings regarding cell phone use and MRIs while a person has amalgam fillings in their teeth. The electromagnetic fields and microwave radiation emitted were studied. Both studies took two years to complete.
In the MRI phase of testing mercury content in the saliva of 30 test subjects was tested before and after MRI testing. Brain scans were also performed.
In the university girls after the amalgam fillings were used to fill their cavities they used their mobile phones for 15 minutes for the first four days. Samples were tested in both a controlled group and the amalgam filling group using cold vapor (Mercuric Hydride System) of an atomic absorption (Perkin Elmer, Model 3030) spectrophotometer.
The chief complaints for the MRI test subjects were headache and vertigo, hypophys gland problems, MS, cerebrovascular accidents, driving accidents and vision problems. MRI procedures took 30 minutes for each test subject with 57 slices.
The study found, “MRI and microwave radiation emitted from mobile phones significantly increased the release of mercury from dental amalgam restoration.”
More concerning than the findings is the fact that these studies are many years old, yet the information is not discussed, not reported and pushed under the rug. The undersea welders study was done in 1988, the Pakistan study in 2008. Still, even more shocking, is the fact that many dentists see nothing wrong with amalgam fillings and are still using them to fill cavities.
