The Science Of Food Vs The Nutrition Of Food

When a person is sick there are generally deep nutritional deficiencies that need to be satisfied. Scientific experts continually tell us to take appropriate amounts of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, saturated fats to unsaturated fats, calcium in balance with magnesium, proper proportions of fat to protein and carbohydrates to proteins and oils… the list goes on forever. This balance can be daunting. When a person is sick and suffers from brain fog or pathogenic toxicity deciphering the protocol can be daunting.

It doesn’t have to be that hard.

“It’s too scientific,” says Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride (31:00). “When things get too scientific, the more scientific they are the further away from the truth they are usually. If you think about all the mess humanity has created on this planet it’s all very scientifically based.”

McBride is a medical doctor, neruologist, neurosurgeon and nutritional expert who authored “>Put Your Heart In Your Mouth. She is considered the forerunner on healing a damaged microbiome, the root cause of illness.

She goes on to say, “Science is not something we should take as the gospel.”

She also says the body knows what to do and can heal itself, given the proper support. This is why she believes each person should be their own health advocate, acting as a detective finding out what the body is saying it needs.

Statements like these have caused criticism for McBride. She has been told by other medical doctors her train of thought, if fed properly the body can fix itself, is unacceptable.

The only problem is, it works.

Scientific information constipation can be proven with the break down of animal fats balancing out saturated, polunsaturated and monounsaturated fatty acids. Analyzing animal fat for its specific content and balance then subsequently avoiding animal fat in the diet can cause a lot of sickness for a person.

Animal fats and meats nourish to body.

Vegetables cleanse.

As she works with the most damaged and ill patients she sees the outcome consistently. She says, “You can not possibly compare what science knows with what nature knows.”

*Nourishing Plot is written by Becky Plotner, ND, traditional naturopath, GAPS who sees clients in Rossville, Georgia as well as through Skype and phone consultations. Most of her clients have Leaky Gut, histamine issues, autism or autoimmunity. Since her son was delivered from the effects of autism (Asperger’s syndrome), ADHD, bipolar disorder/manic depression, hypoglycemia and dyslexia through food she continued her education specializing in Leaky Gut and parasitology through Duke University, finishing with distinction. This is not a news article published by a paper trying to make money. This blog is put out by a mom who sees first hand the effects of nourishing food vs food-ish items. No company pays her for writing these blogs, she considers this a form of missionary work. It is her desire to scream it from the rooftops so that others don’t suffer from the damaging effect of today’s “food”.
